Dive deep into the process of making wine with the owners of Conduit wine, a new natural winery and vineyard, located in the Sierra Foothills / Fair Play wine growing region.
Get ready to learn the basics of winemaking, blending, and tasting. Everyone gets to roll up their sleeves and produce their very own special bottle of wine!
Meet with husband and wife team, Aaron and Amy of Conduit Wine at Gold Dust Vineyard located in Fair Play, El Dorado Co. Enjoy the breathtaking vineyard views and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the distance. We are located in the heart of the Fair Play wine region in Southern El Dorado County, right next door to Amador.
To begin the experience, Amy will educate you with a contextual overview of wine growing regions & vineyards in both the “old world” and California, as well as varietal identification and a brief lesson in deductive tasting. You will learn the five basic elements of wine tasting and how these elements ultimately influence blending decisions.
Then, Aaron will show you the different techniques he uses to create their special wine blends. Taste samples straight from the barrel while learning more about the basics of production, blending and the aging process.
Now it’s your turn to play winemaker, with winemaker Aaron demonstrating how to blend and create a cuvée. You will have the opportunity to blend, bottle, and cork your own custom bottle to take home, as well as design your very own label.

Sip & Succulents Terrarium Workshop Hosted by Amy
Anyone that has been to the winery has seen the beautiful varieties of succulents that line the entry stairway to the tasting room. Amy is a master of succulents and now she will teach you all her tricks! Come sip on our low-intervention wines while making your very own succulent terrarium and enjoying the views from our ridge-line winery and vineyard.
