Meet with husband and wife team, Aaron and Amy of Conduit Wine at Gold Dust Vineyard located in Fair Play, El Dorado Co. Enjoy the breathtaking vineyard views and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the distance. We are located in the heart of the Fair Play wine region in Southern El Dorado County, right next door to Amador.
To begin the experience, Amy will educate you with a contextual overview of wine growing regions & vineyards in both the “old world” and California, as well as varietal identification and a brief lesson in deductive tasting. You will learn the five basic elements of wine tasting and how these elements ultimately influence blending decisions.
Then, Aaron will show you the different techniques he uses to create their special wine blends. Taste samples straight from the barrel while learning more about the basics of production, blending and the aging process.
Now it’s your turn to play winemaker, with winemaker Aaron demonstrating how to blend and create a cuvée. You will have the opportunity to blend, bottle, and cork your own custom bottle to take home, as well as design your very own label.
