2022 "Gold Dust Vineyard" Estate Syrah
Our 2022 Estate Syrah is if the first Estate Syrah we have made using only Syrah grapes…a pure expression of Syrah grown in our granitic soils, exactly like that of the Northern Rhône, where Syrah is native.
This special Syrah opens with savory aromas of smoked bacon fat, gamey meat, and olive tapenade, which lead into softer notes of violets and black olives framed by flavors of boysenberry, wild blackberries and a slight hint of blueberry, followed with light tannin and fresh acidity. This wine is great on its own or pair with lamb, burgers, steaks, Protobello mushrooms, and winter stews.
